Margot Sinclair / Electra

This series is based off of the Pleiades (7 Sisters) constellation, rooted in Greek Mythology. The constellation itself has 9 predominant stars, representing each of the 7 sisters and their 2 parents (Atlas & Pleione). The pieces are similar to each other in many ways, but all unique in background color, palette and energy. All of them feature the constellation itself, embroidered into the canvas in thread.

Each one has an additional multi-media component — text cut from a mid-20th century french book on art. Each canvas features different pieces from the same book.
