Lauren Bencivengo / Change of Season

Lauren Bencivengo is a painter and interior designer based in Encinitas, California. With a background in Commercial Interior Design and a BFA from Miami University of Ohio, Lauren’s creative journey has always been rooted in her desire to shape spaces with meaning and beauty. 

Working primarily in acrylic and gouache, Lauren draws inspiration from the quiet poetry of everyday life — sunlight on a windowsill, the curve of a vase, the texture of nature in motion. Her work is an invitation to slow down and savour the details, offering refined compositions shaped by a timeless aesthetic. Each piece is a celebration of living well — an emblem of intentional beauty, inner calm, and the art of making a house feel like home.

Autumn Days is a new collection that explores the transformation of the fall season - materializing in nature, in our homes, and within ourselves. In these paintings, I gather symbolic characteristics of autumn: changing landscapes, fading light, and comforting themes. Through moodier color palettes, layered textures, and thoughtful compositions, each piece reflects the season’s need for individual reflection, retreat, and renewal.
