In her latest body of work titled Teacups and Tafel, Anji explores the intersection of cultural symbolism and natural elements through the medium of mixed media on paper. Tafel meaning table in Afrikaans and of Dutch origin, serves as a foundational motif, representing the shared experiences and traditions of South African culture — particularly the ritual of tea drinking. 

In this new series, Anji invite viewers to delve deeper into the world created in Teacups and Tafel. By zooming in on specific details and scenes from her previous body of work, she highlights the intricate textures and emotions embedded within each moment. A distinctive aspect of this series is the use of handmade black ink, crafted from foraged willow bark.
